You get 5 additional meters for just 10 cents!
Since this week I'm studying again. Really and officially. And for now, it's neither as confusing nor as traumatizing as last time. Actually it's quite fun.
I'm still not sure about one of my lecturers. She could be a really nice person, but in some things she reminds me of a former teacher, who was in her behaviour eerily similar to Umbridge (from the Harry Potter books).
Today we had a guided tour through the institute library, and I think I'm going to revise my opinion on libraries. Though I've always loved to read, I almost never went to libraries. Even in school I only borrowed book if I absolutely had to. I have this desire to *own* the books I read. To put them on a shelf afterwards, to read the titles in passing, to take one in my hands from time to time, to smell the paper, to reread them just because I glanced at them coincidentally....
Of course it's mostly fiction I buy, so now the concept of having a vast amount of knowledge and secondary literature to browse through sounds somehow appealing, too.
Also, a library is a warm, quiet room that smells of books and dust... <3
What made me smile was that I randomly read the title of a book and it was "lovesickness in the medieval" :)

Afterwards I had a bit of time left until I had to catch my train, and because there weren't enough books today, I went to my favourite bookstore. I browsed trough the books with the reduced prices and found two big, heavy and cheap illustrated books, one japanese woodcuts and one about symbolism.
Hm, so it's art again. Funny how my interest always turns to the things I don't *have* to do. I should be reading and enjoying german literature but buy and enjoy art books. I certainly wouldn't have bought art books when I was studying for my art abitur... And right now I long to paint traditionally again and illustrate some dreams I've had, but I still have to finish some commissions and promises... digitally.

Anyway, when I wanted to pay the books, an aged man stood at the cash desk, shaking his head while reading the headlines of several newspapers.
"Now I finally know," he told the cashier "why one of the papers costs ten cents more than the other."
The cashier looked puzzled.
"Look," the man said, pointing at said newspapers, who both reported of the same incident. One read something like 'man fell 25 meters and survived!' the other 'man alive after fall of 20 meters!'. "For 10 cents you get 5 meters more..."
